WHY WOMEN EMPOWERMENT?
While African women have made substantial improvements in the economic, political and social development of the continent, they are still broadly marginalized within the passages of power, when applying for jobs and continue to face social exclusion, from education to their inability to own land or inherit property. NINI want to bring more than hope to women. Our farmers in training programs prepare our women entrepreneurs with the business tools they need to be able to succeed.
"We believe that with an attitude of originality, positive change is possible even in low-resource settings."
WHY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT?
Our methodology focuses on mobilizing processes—human, economic, and natural—for sustainable, life-changing initiatives. We use a resource-based community development approach that encourages self-condense, independence and inspires an appreciation of existing resources in the community and the confidence to build upon them. We constantly challenge ourselves and others to do more with what we have. We believe that with an attitude of originality, positive change is possible even in low-resource settings. NINI strives to make lasting, sustainable change that is deeply rooted in the community and driven by the community members themselves.
